Mohamed Yahya Mohamed Ibrahim

Yahya has well over 40 years of experience in the insurance industry. He has held various senior positions in major international and local insurance brokers with a demonstrated history of managing and delivering solutions for insurance and risk management programs for a broad variety of industry sectors which amongst others including metro rail and railway, power, oil & gas, petrochemical, construction, property, telecommunication, maritime, aviation and aerospace. Skilled in insurance, reinsurance and marketing, he has managed some of the largest Malaysian corporate insurance and risk management programs.

Mohd Zaidi Abd Rahim
Chief Financial Officer

Zaidi has more than 32 years of experience in the areas of accounting, finance, auditing, administration, risk management, compliance, quality assurance and corporate governance with various organizations including banks and insurance broking firms of which for the latter he had served 18 years. He was the Group Insurance Head with a renowned local bank for 7 years prior to joining the company as the Chief Financial Officer.

Ahmad Fami Ahmad Zain
Head - Corporate, GLC’s and Global Business

Fami has over 32 years of experience in the insurance industry. He commenced his professional journey with a multinational insurance company before transitioning into the role of a loss adjuster in 1994. Over the years, he has accumulated substantial knowledge and experience in managing railway accidents and various other types of insurance claims across Malaysia. In 2011, he became part of the company, taking on the role of Head of Central Claims Management, where he effectively oversaw claims across different categories, including risks associated with international power plants. Presently, he leads a team responsible for administering insurance programs for corporate, government linked and global clients.

Hafefe Mahadzir
Head - Business Development

Hafefe has over 15 years of experience in both the local and international broking market including insurance companies. He has managed various clients in the oil & gas, power & utilities, corporate and government sectors. He maintains a close relationship with both the international insurance and reinsurance markets. He now heads the Business Development team focusing on structuring and delivering the best risk and insurance solutions to clients.

Che Zulmaidi Che Mustafa
Head - Specialized Risks

Zulmaidi joined the company in 2022 bringing more than 22 years of experience in the insurance industry. His career in insurance started when he joined McLaren Adjusters. He stayed on for 4 years before he ventured into insurance broking. Zulmaidi worked at Sime Insurance brokers for 4 years as an Accounts Executive managing corporate clients including the national utility company. He then worked with Willis Insurance Broker for over 15 years, gaining knowledge involving a multitude of clients comprising multinational companies, energy, aviation and oil and gas sectors. He joined Sime Darby Lockton in August 2022.

Shamsul Sarun
Head - Employee Benefits Consulting

Shamsul has over 24 years of experience in the insurance industry. Before joining Sime Darby Lockton, he held multiple roles at insurance companies. His last position was as the Vice President responsible for Corporate Business Faculty & Projects at Etiqa General Takaful Berhad. His area of expertise primarily involves advising and facilitating corporate business growth and operational programs, with particular emphasis on projects. He has successfully overseen a wide array of portfolios spanning financial institutions, infrastructure, healthcare, plantations, hospitality, manufacturing, and various other sectors. He currently heads a dedicated and experienced Employee Benefits team, focussed on delivering expert insurance counsel and solutions to clients and success in negotiating best terms and delivering exceptional customer service.

Azrin Khalili Ajidan
Head - Business Development

Azrin Khalili has been in the insurance industry for over 25 years with experience in the insurance broking. He has worked with several established international and local insurance broking firms where he received intensive exposure in all operational aspects and the rudiments of an insurance broking business. He is actively involved in client management for major risks in the marine, property, construction, power utilities as well as the oil and gas sector. He currently manages the new business development portfolio of the company.

Syamsyul Hirman Rasiman
Head - Broking Support & Claims Advisory Services

Syamsyul has over 24 years of experience in the insurance industry. He started his career in 1999 with a well-known international loss adjusting firm following completion of his practical training. Over the years at the international loss adjusting firm, he garnered considerable experience and expertise in the handling of various types of claims including catastrophic losses throughout Malaysia. He has been involved in managing and settling various large losses involving factory fires, power plant claims, fraud claims, catastrophic flood losses, fidelity guarantee claims and others involving large corporate clients. He currently heads the claims servicing team in Sime Darby Lockton and provides clients with a better claims handling experience and quick loss settlements.

Romzi Ishak
Head - Information Technology

Romzi has well over 20 years of experience in overall IT operations within the Insurance industry. He has led and managed various teams within the Centralised, Distributed and Network operation services in the Asia Pacific region with a Multinational Corporation. He started his career as an insurance broker managing Employee Benefits with one of the largest insurance brokers before moving to IT. This has given him an advantage and insight to deliver IT projects and meeting the business support requirements. Romzi has a proven track record in delivering high standard of services based on ITIL best practices and maintaining stakeholders-vendor relationship to ensure optimum operational support is available for Sime Darby Lockton.

Rafizah Abd Rahman
Head - Compliance & Quality Assurance

Rafizah has over 15 years of experience in the insurance industry. She started her career as an Insurance Examiner in Bank Negara and subsequently joined a few major insurance companies focusing in the area of regulatory compliance and risk management. She currently heads and manages the Compliance, Quality Assurance and Risk Management portfolio of the company.
